Ojha had posed as Chhantyal and showed his interest to buy the two-wheeler at Rs 490,000 after he saw an advertisement posted in hamrobazaar.com on October 15 last year.
He then met the bike owner at Shantinagar, Zerokilometre of Pokhara and asked to take the bike for the test ride.
Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division has urged the people to stay aware of the possible fraud cases while making online transactions.
Police have also suggested to the traders to lend bikes for test ride only after getting hold of original driving licence.Similarly, they have asked members of the public not to give their details and photocopy of the licence to anyone other than the officials.
