Several earthquakes — minor to moderate — were recorded in Tibet of China, bordering Nepal, from the early morning to this afternoon. Some of the tremors were felt in eastern and central Nepal including the Kathmandu Valley.
The chief of Nepal’s National Seismological Centre, Lok Bijaya Adhikari, told THT Online that some members of the public had called the NSC to inquire about the magnitude and epicentre of the tremors, claiming they felt them in the Capital also“The tremors were also felt in some districts of eastern Nepal,” Adhikari said.
According to China Earthquake Networks Center, two moderate earthquakes of 5.3-magnitude hit the southern part of Tibet this morning.
